Bavarian Technic BMW tool reads out fault code (DTC) information by communicating with module and requesting fault data.
Responses from the control unit are interpreted by the software and displayed on the screen along with a corresponding description. DTC and their descriptions are the same as those found in the factory tools and the codes can be referenced in the factory manual when needed.
Bavarian Technic is able to display several types of trouble codes: fault codes, shadow fault codes, and soft fault codes.
Bavarian Technic is able to display and clear any of the above DTCs.*
List of faults can be printed if needed. Your workshop information and logo can be included in the printout.**
Bavarian Technic software usually shows the fault code and a description of the fault to help you troubleshoot the problem faster. This is different from many other tools that only show the code without a description.
Bavarian Technic will also show additional repair information such as alternate fault codes and freeze frame data.*
